Econet Wireless group has today announced the end of the merger between econet wireless burundi s. A and u-com Burundi S. A, operating under the trademark Leo, to create the largest company of telecommunications. The new company will work under the brand econet Leo.
Interviewed on what represents this merger for burundi and for the group econet wireless, the leaders of the group are:

With more than 2,6 million subscribers, 242 Full-time employees and more than 20,000 indirect jobs, econet Leo is one of the largest companies in burundi.

Econet Leo is the largest taxpayer in burundi and paid more than 23,2 billion francs bu taxes for the period from October 2014 to June 2015.
